How can MFA of Belarus comment on the initiative of Lithuania and Poland to get the CE mandate for extension of contacts with Belarus taking into account that this issue has recently been discussed by Lithuanian Parliament?

Answer of MFA press secretary:

If you remember, MFA position on this issue has been already announced: we welcome any initiative aimed at involvement of Belarus in European affairs.

On the other hand, today we build our relations with EU, OSCE and Council of Europe on the basis of direct dialogue, without mediation.

It does not mean that we will refuse any friendly help, i.e. if this initiative will be offered, let the Council of Europe to consider this issue.
