Press Service of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus comments on the sharp escalation of the situation in the South Caucasus
Belarus is deeply concerned about the escalation of the situation in South Caucasus and the accompanying combat operations.
We firmly believe that a lasting and sustainable solution to the most complex conflicts can be achieved only through political and diplomatic means.
This is why we urge all parties to take immediate and effective measures to start a ceasefire and prevent the loss of life.
For this purpose, it is fundamentally important to return to the path of rational and reasoned dialogue within the existing formats in order to prevent the previously formed preconditions for a peaceful settlement of the Karabakh problem from being overturned.
For its part, the Republic of Belarus is ready to make efforts in all available formats to achieve peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
