Belarusian-Vietnamese political consultations

On April 24, 2025 Minsk hosted the fourth round of Belarusian-Vietnamese political consultations.

The Belarusian delegation at the negotiations was headed by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lukashevich, while the Vietnamese delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Le Thi Thu Hang.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of interaction, including organising visits at the highest and high levels.

Issues of cooperation in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres, expansion of the legal framework, and cooperation in international organisations were discussed.

The interlocutors exchanged views on specific issues on the regional and global agendas.

On the same day, the head of the Vietnamese delegation was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maxim Ryzhenkov. The Belarusian party confirmed its interest in developing multifaceted and multilevel cooperation with Vietnam as one of the most important partners of Belarus in Southeast Asia. Special attention was paid to the interaction between the foreign ministries of the two countries, and plans for the near future were outlined.
